Chef Christopher Chai is delivering scrumptious modern Chinese fare at Shangri-La Bangkok until next week

Chef Christopher Chai, the executive Chinese chef of JIA Chinese restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta is making a visit to Shang Palace restaurant at Shangri-La Bangkok to deliver scrumptious Chinese fare with a modern edge until 18 November.

Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, Chef Christopher has honed experiences in famous kitchens across Asia-Pacific which includes Crystal Jade and Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, before joining Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group and works for Shangri-La hotels in Jakarta and Manila. His dishes are known for retaining the sophisticating classic flair complete with modern twists.

At Shang Palace, Chef Christopher will whip up his claim-to-fame delights like Braised “Treasure Soup” with baby sea cucumber and vegetables, crispy fried beef in honey sauce, deep-fried king prawn wrapped with salted egg yolk and supreme baked scallop stuffed with shrimp paste and bean curd.

The dishes are available for lunch and dinner with price starting from B180.
