Deksomboon is a staple household name attached to every kitchen and is best recognizable for indulgent soy sauce and oyster sauce items with the logo of iconic fat boy holding a sauce bottle. After opening a showroom in Yaowarat (right by the famous Guay Jub Nai X) showcasing the brand’s wide range of products, the sauce powerhouse looks to appease Instagram-loving crowds with the launch of the trendy soft serves that comes with unusual sauce flavors and topping.

The ice-cream is available in two options black soy sauce and plum sorbet that taste a whole lot better than they sound. The black soy sauce doesn’t come out as savory as we were afraid it would have been, boasting a slight nutty note similar to that of soy milk. The soft serve goes surprisingly well with the black soy sauce (that same sweet black sauce served alongside khao mun kai) that’s proffered as topping. The whole combination, though it may sound weird, works well with the creaminess of the soft serve cut through by the sweet-slash-savory note of the sauce.

And Deksomboon soft serve comes with the price you love. Prices start from B20 for 100g. Definitely the quirky experience you need to try next time you hit the Chinatown.
