Posh outdoor dining event Le Dîner en Blanc is making its way back in Bangkok for the second time this upcoming summer with the effort of Time Out Bangkok as the organizer.
Originated in Paris, France back in 1988, Le Dîner en Blanc first emerged as a small gathering of friends who wished to hold an elegant outdoor dinner at the Bois de Boulogne, but they were all dressed in white so that they could find each other in the massive park.
Over the past three decades, the event has grown out of France and expanded to 85 countries in six continents, with the same concept of lifestyle connoisseurs coming together with their own food, tables, chairs, and other picnic supplies in an iconic public space, which will be kept as a secret until the last minute. Most importantly, everyone must dress in exquisite white.
Dîner en Blanc debuted in Thailand's capital in 2017, taking place at the promenade of the Royal Thai Navy Conventional Hall on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. This year, in 2021, Time Out Bangkok has received the honor to reorganize the elegance of epicurean culture in the capital of Thailand sometime in the summer at a secret location. The Dîner en Blanc Bangkok 2021 will be joined by leading restaurants to help elevate the experience of elegant picnicking in the heart of the city.
