August in Bangkok means rain, and lots of it. But rather than sulk under an umbrella, why not let an orchestra soundtrack your month instead? Lumphini Hall throws open its doors for a run of free performances.

Eight events across the month, most of them starting around 5pm, which means you can wander over after work, grab a spot and settle in as the light drops over the park outside. There are guitar solos backed by an orchestra, a classical concert series and ballroom nights that run late.
