FIN, a leading sustainable, organic and biodynamic wine distributor, recently hosted a wine-tasting event as a kickoff to {Re} Food Forum, the food conference with which it partners. FIN invited Marjorie and Stephane Gallet, the owners of Roc des Anges (Angels' Rock), a biodynamic vineyard in a small county of Roussillon on the border of France and Spain, to introduce how biodynamic wines can enhance the flavors of Thai food at Bo.lan restaurant.
Inspired by Roussilon native vines whose roots dig deep into the rocky soils, the dinner serves authentic Thai dishes featuring root vegetables and ingredients such as jicama salad with prawn, local flower and dried prawn powder. The food was paired with Roc des Anges wines such as 2014 L’Effet Papillon Blanc and 2014 Segna de Cor Côtes-du- Roussillon Villages AOC.
