Hong Thaimee, New York-based Thai celebrity chef will join Supanniga Cruise for a three-day dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River, featuring the mash-up of traditional cuisine of Eastern Thailand and chef Hong’s creative nod to Thailand’s national staples from 26-28 November.

A former model in Bangkok, chef Hong moved to New York City and started a culinary career at Jean Georges’ acclaimed establishments Spice Market and Perry Street. Later, she opened her own restaurant Thaimee Table, which was awarded “The Best Thai Food” in the Big Apple by The Village Voice Newspaper in 2013. The young chef also launched a highly-popular Thai cookbook True Thai, featuring recipes of Thai comfort fare, as well as Thai dishes with American influence. Her INSPI(RED) burger with influence of Thai and American flavors is now being offered on Air Asia flights.

For the collaborative wine-pairing dinner with Supanniga Cruise, expect chef Hong’s creative bites such as Magic Noodle which turns from blue to purple by a squeeze of lime, as well as the chef’s take on Northern Thai recipes such as hanglay curry with beef shank and pu oar, steamed crab meat served in its shell. The creations by the celebrity chef will be offered alongside Supanniga’s signature dishes such as grilled pork collar with chamuang curry sauce, and river prawn chili relish with salacca and shrimp paste.

The wine-pairing dinner cruise is priced at B3,250. Parts of the proceeds will go to support (Red), an NGO with a mission to fight against AIDS. For reservation, visit https://hungryhub.com/en/restaurants/supanniga-cruise
