Vitor Matos, one of the most prominent chefs in Portugal and a groundbreaking figure in shaping modern Portuguese cuisine will be taking the helm of Il Fumo on 22 and 23 May.

Throughout twenty years of experience in the kitchen, Matos has been a driving force in putting Portugal on the global gastronomic map. Garnered with Chef of the year title by Wine Magazine in 2013, he was behind the success of many awarded restaurants, which include one Michelin-starred Restaurant Antiqvvm in Porto.

During his stint at Il Fumo, Matos will collaborate with Il Fumo’s head honcho Nelson Amorim to deliver a modern and full-of-whimsical six-course menu (B3,600) that reinterprets Portugese delicacies like meia desfeita (warm cod salad) and clams à bulhão pato.
