For some time now, the Charoenkrung cocktail bar has drawn guests who seek a tropical blissful getaway filled with well-executed, rum-focused concoctions within a bar that would mimic a beach holiday setting of a tropical island. Sebastian de la Cruz and Philip Stefanescu, both brilliant minds behind Tropic City, recently introduced new cocktail numbers that will take their bevvy, tropical profile to another level.
While tropical cocktails at first glance may be alarming as they are sometimes juice-heavy and overly sweet, the creative team at Tropic City added a creative touch to the new line of drinks with the use of bolder ingredients and cutting-edge techniques. The result is a blend of impressive flavors that creates a long lasting impression in the minds of both cocktail newbies and connoisseurs. As an example of the new blend, the new smoothly refreshing Chronical Iced Tea veers from the heavy fruity drink with the injection of a heady mix of Appleton Reserve Rum and Albelha Cachaça.
Unconventional ingredients are also introduced to boost funky flavors. The Thai herbal whiskey or yadong, for example, is infused with vodka to become the spirit base of Skywalker with a slight addition of "beetroot air" to give an earthly flavor. The Tropicopop as well features clarofied goat milk with a heavy kick from white and dark rum.
