If you’re a true dog person, you know the joy that comes from cuddling, playing or just staring at our fluffy, four-legged friends. Bangkok’s dog cafes aren’t just about coffee and cake – they’re a full-on serotonin boost. Imagine petting corgis with bouncy butts, golden retrievers with non-stop hugs and huskies with the fluff factor cranked up to max.

And as we’re celebrating National Dog Day this week, Time Out rounded up eight of the city’s best dog cafes where you can sip, snap, snack and snuggle to your heart’s content. Each spot has its own quirky charm, adorable resident pups and of course, plenty of selfie spots.

Warning: you’ll leave with a full heart, a full camera roll and probably a new favourite dog breed.

  • Thonglor

This small dachshund cafe in Thonglor comes with a cosy olive-green interior that feels warm, easy on the eyes and just a touch vintage. What makes the place truly special, though, are the real ‘owners’ of the house - Bobby and Billy, two dachshunds who are always the first to run out and greet guests as soon as they come inside.

Somehow they become the cafe’s mascots, filling the atmosphere with smiles. Coffee lovers will be happy too, since Benkoff sources quality beans for both house blends and single origins. Whether you prefer bold, smooth or well-balanced, there’s something for every cup. But if you’re going to try just one drink, don’t miss their signature Toffee Koffee - a milk coffee infused with salted caramel.

For non-coffee drinkers, there are also teas, milk, smoothies and freshly baked homemade pastries available every day. Another corner that wins people over is the little gift shop full with cute trinkets, from dachshund keychains and playful printed T-shirts to hats and small souvenirs you can take home.

The name says it all - Big Dog Cafe is the kingdom of kind giants. But it’s not just about their size; these hounds bring a rare and quirky charm you won’t find anywhere else. The cafe is home to more than 50 dogs from a wide variety of breeds - some familiar and others so unique you’ll hardly ever see them in Thailand. This is where we spot shaggy Komondors that look like walking rugs, friendly Alaskan Malamutes, fluffy Old English Sheepdogs, Airedale Terriers and of course, elegant Afghan Hounds that look like they just escaped a runway.

The cafe organises doggy playtime into five sessions a day, each featuring up to 10 different packs of dogs rotating in to meet visitors. That means every time you come, you’ll meet a new crew of furry friends. The space is roomy and welcoming, great for both grabbing a coffee break or settling in for a full meal while enjoying your unlimited dog cuddle time.

Entry starts at just B199 for adults (B150 for kids). If you’d like the full experience with drinks and dessert included, there’s a THB490 package or go all-in with the B590 package that also covers a meal.

If we’re talking about the biggest dog cafe in Thailand, the crown goes to Dog Country Cafe. The space sprawls over three acres and is home to 400 dogs! The massive area is divided into several zones so you can pick your best playdate vibe.

Start at the Center Zone, where small and big dogs mingle in one lively playground. Next, head to the Tiny Paw Zone, designed for those who melt at pint-sized pups you can cuddle or feed unlimited treats. The Dog Gallery showcases medium-sized dogs, with a few fluffy models. Upstairs, things get wilder: rabbits, cats, goats and pigs add a petting zoo feel for extra fun.

And it’s not just about the four-legged friends. The cafe also comes with a dining area and live music stage, making it an all-day hangout spot for families and friends.

For those who have already fallen for the charms of those round little corgi butts, Corgi in the Garden may well be your happy place. This cafe is home to 33 short-legged furballs, all waddling around like loaves of bread with tails. It all started when the owners, already corgi parents themselves, decided to share their joy by opening a space where everyone could experience the same fluffy happiness.

The cafe itself is cozy and cute, decorated like a warm garden home - best for snapping photos, sipping coffee or just chilling on a lazy afternoon. Corgis are famously playful, cheeky and extra cuddly so prepare to fall head over heels the moment you come in. On the menu you’ll find coffee, homemade pastries and ice cream - ideal for cooling down on a hot Bangkok day.

Pro tip: go on a weekday if you want extra cuddle time. It’s less crowded, which means more corgi love for you.

240/1, Soi Charoen Nakhon 10, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San. Open daily 10am-6pm. B350 for adults, B450 for one drink and cake or ice cream, B250 for kids who are under 90-110 cm and free entry for kids under 90cm.

From its first home in Ekkamai to its hipster-approved spot in Ari, Dog in Town Ari is a heaven if you’ve ever dreamed of hanging out with a crew of big, fluffy four-legged friends.  Siberian huskies, golden retrievers, corgis, a few cloud-like Samoyeds and a posse of smaller pups await you.

The cafe’s cutest gimmick is that every pup here is named after a BTS station. Don’t be surprised when you’re suddenly calling out ’On Nut’ or ‘Mo Chit’ while a giant ball of fur comes running your way.

The vibe is super laidback and friendly, like you’ve just dropped in to see friends who happen to have way better hair. Staff will help line you up for photos with the pups, some of whom are trained to pose like pros. You’re guaranteed to walk away with Instagram gold (and probably a new favorite station on the BTS line).

If fluffy dogs are your love language, then Neverland Husky is going to be your happy place. Picture this: more than 30 Siberian huskies, all groomed to perfection with cloud-soft fur that’s begging for cuddles. Sure, they’re big but every single one of them is gentle, goofy and totally people-friendly.

The real magic here is that you don’t just meet one or two but you get to dive right into the whole pack for playtime and group photos. And just when you think it can’t get any cuter, there are Akita Inus (rarely seen in Thailand) and the permanently-smiling Samoyeds waiting to steal your heart.

The cafe itself is styled like a spacious garden so you can actually run around and play with the dogs instead of being cooped up. Before heading out, wander through the souvenir corner where you’ll find paw-some merch and doggy-themed goodies to take home as a memory of your visit.

Shiba fans, this one’s for you. Shibainu Story is a cafe where the stars of the show are an entire pack of these cheeky, fluffy pups. You’ll meet everything from full-sized, bouncy Shibas to teeny-tiny puppies so cute they might just break your heart.

The cafe is smartly split into two zones: one for chilling with food and drinks and another that’s Shiba paradise, where the dogs roam free and are always ready to play. Shibas are famous for their playful (and slightly mischievous) personalities. So you can expect laughter or maybe a bit of headache.

Because Shibainu Story is also a Shiba farm, the experience doesn’t stop at cuddles and playtime. Fall for a pup here, and you might just be starting a whole new chapter with your very own Shiba companion.
