Time Out says

Anantara Siam Bangkok’s Italian restaurant now has a more homey ambiance to match the hearty fare served by new chef Kevin Montorfano.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel has a time-honored history in the city. Before it became the Anantara, the centrally located hotel was The Regent, and then the Four Seasons, undergoing facelifts each time it changed management and direction. However, there’s one thing that has stood the test of time throughout the decades, regardless of the changes the hotel has gone through: its dining rooms.

For almost two decades, Biscotti has welcomed the city’s gourmands to an elegant Italian dining experience. The restaurant has always focused on offerings that signify the expansive culinary culture of Italy from north to south, whether it’s homemade pasta, pizza or mains made with premium meat and seafood.

The past couple of years were difficult for Biscotti and saw its temporary closure, just like many other dining establishments in the city that had to deal with the fallout of the coronavirus. Recently, the long-standing restaurant made a return to the city’s food scene, this time with a new chef and a new look.

Swiss-Italian chef de cuisine Kevin Montorfano has a CV packed with impressive stints at Michelin-recognized restaurants such as Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London. Here at Biscotti, Chef Kevin takes what he knows to elevate, but not change, the essence of the restaurant.

The menu he’s created for Biscotti include Burrata Pugliese (B620), a starter that sees the soft creamy cheese drizzled with basil pesto and Balsamico di Modena IGP reduction, and Hokkaido Sea Scallops (B990), which comes with green pea puree and jus made from roasted fish and bacon.

We also tried two pasta dishes—Seafood Tortelli (B890) and Ravioli Ossobuco and Black Truffle (B1,100)—each of which showcase the chef’s creativity and beautiful presentation, as much as Monkfish alla Puttanesca (B1,390) and Wagyu A5 Beef Tenderloin “Biscotti Rossini Style” (B2,890).

Sweet meal enders include the restaurant’s Signature Amalfi Lemon (B420) and Biscotti Tiramisu (B380).

Biscotti’s interiors, originally done by New York-based designer Tony Chi, was also given an update, and now features an earthy color palette that’s reminiscent of an Italian home and an open kitchen.
