Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

Hidden in an old wooden house in Soi Suanplu is the neighborhood new French-slash-Thai seafood joint. Decked out in stripes of blue and white, Kutai evokes the beachside setting with bohemian, vintage kitschy objects, Maori wood carvings and Azulejo tiles. As the name in Maori which means mussels suggest, Kutai is specialized in steamed mussels coming with selections like classic French mariniere and tom yum. Also worth a try are seafood couscous and crab salad with pomelo.
