Literally translated as “the cafe of trainees,” Le Café des Stagiaires works with the concept of hiring trainees who want to learn how to run a restaurant. Part of these their 

job is to serve appetizing fare such as Planchette, a cold cut platter with cheese, foie gra and liver paté, and mince. Delve into the mains for a bigger meal; the rare Spanish dish, tortilla de patatas con chorizo (egg omelette with potatoes and chorizo) is recommended. Take it with a bottle from their selection of some of the finest lagers from all over the world.

Le Café des Stagiaires marks its first decade with a fourth celebratory event that feels more like a small ritual than a party. The morning starts with the gentle chaos of a boozy brunch, glasses clinking, plates drifting by, conversation spilling over eggs and pastries. Later, a cocktail workshop transforms the room into a laboratory of taste, where shakers and muddled herbs promise both experiment and indulgence. Framing the day is a photo exhibition, each image quietly claiming its space on the walls, snapshots of time, people and moments that have passed through the cafe throughout the years. August 24.
