Time Out says

Bangkok’s new whiskey bar promises a solid list of imported whiskey plus a stellar selection of tailor-made cocktails.

The discreet and peaceful neighborhood of Sukhumvit Soi 61 is the perfect environment for Bangkok’s newest whiskey bar, The Owl Society Whiskey Saloon. Run by the same people behind Thirsty Owl (formerly 24 Owls), The Owl Society Whiskey Saloon has the gentleman’s club milieu perfected with its dark wooden furniture, tufted leather chairs, and a bar stocked with shelves upon shelves of bottled amber liquid.

The menu was created mainly to complement your of poison of choice, offering alcohol-friendly western favorites from wings and pizza to pasta and steak. Kick off things with the crunchy chicken wings (spicy wings glazed with Italian butter chili sauce, B250) or the frog leg ginger garlic (deep-fried frog legs with garlic and black pepper, B400) but do leave room for mains like grilled snapper served with lemon garlic sauce, fennel and Japanese mushroom (B450)

The drinks list is as indulgent as its surroundings, packed with over 100 bottles of imported whiskey including labels from various regions in Scotland, and other countries like Canada and Japan. Sometimes, one-off rare and limited bottles make an appearance. The bar is helmed by lady bartender Suchada “Fahbeer” Sopajeree, one of the top 12 finalists at the Diageo World Class Thailand 2016 competition. Try her signature whiskey-based drinks like The Great Grey, a sweet and smoky drink that expertly combines Johnnie Walker Black Label, cherry port wine and Patron XO (B360). Whiskey does not dominate here; they also stock up on nearly 30 bottles of gin. Best to head over to the bar, pick your preferred poison and let Fahbeer do her magic.
