Red Building Vintage Chatuchak

Impossible to miss but often overlooked, the bold ‘Red Building’ across the street from Chatuchak Weekend Market, is a vintage paradise better known among locals than tourists. Step inside and you’re greeted by the unmistakable musky scent of a thrift shop – a mix of worn leather, aged denim and vintage clothes from another era. 

No two stalls are alike, with each booth reflecting the owner’s personality, interests and personal collections. One might be filled with retro jackets and cartoon collectibles, while the next has antique lamps, old cameras or Thai amulets. There’s really no telling what you’ll uncover here which is what makes it fun to see what you’ll treasure you’ll bring back. 

If you’re only after the clothing, don’t waste your time on the lower floors and head to the top three – they’re packed wall to wall with all the vintage threads you could dream of, and prices that don’t stink either.
