Browse Michelin picks and local favourites at A Journey of Taste and Culture

Food is often a good reason to travel, and A Journey of Taste and Culture makes that the main event. Presented by Thairath Group and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the festival brings dishes, ingredients and culinary traditions from all five regions together under the theme ‘Taste Journey Starter’. Expect Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand picks alongside much-loved local restaurants, giving visitors plenty of ideas for their next food trip.

The festival also puts a spotlight on Thailand’s lesser-known ingredients, with an exhibition exploring the idea of ‘Food as Medicine’ and the traditional knowledge behind eating for wellbeing. Over at the TAT travel zone, you can browse routes built around signature provincial dishes and the places where their key ingredients originate. Live cooking demonstrations round things off, with chefs preparing regional recipes and offering samples. Daily giveaways add another reason to stop by, with prizes including wild forest honey, herbal inhalers, ginger cookies and dried snacks.
