Thai artist Nobbie Temeekul presents a new painting exhibition that challenges how we see the world and the stories we choose to believe. His oil paintings draw on the rich colours and dramatic brushwork of Western mythological art, but the figures at the centre are deities from Thai tradition. Rather than sticking to the usual images of divine perfection and purity, Nobbie depicts these gods in unexpected poses and situations. The exhibition asks visitors to look a little closer and consider how our own beliefs, as well as the stories we hear, shape what we see.October 17-November 22. Free entry. DIAGE Festival’s October 31-November 1 music programme has finished, but its post-festival installation exhibition is listed to continue at Cloud 11. The highlights include NONOTAK’s 66 beams of light cutting through fog to a percussion soundtrack, Fabrizio Di Salvo’s rotating musical machine and Wit Pimkanchanapong’s woven structure playing with light and shadow. Other installations tackle air pollution and the pace of modern life. Go on, have a play – check which of the seven advertised works remain available before visiting.  November 2-15. What do we believe in when we want more? Czech artist Jan Bican examines obsessions with beauty, money, status and success in Gospel of Desire at CLOUD 11. Large-scale, boldly coloured paintings bring saints, human bodies and animals into the same frame as luxury symbols. For his third Bangkok exhibition and fifth in Asia, Bican asks how consumerism and spirituality shape what we value and aspire to. November 6-January 5, 2027. Free entry. Cloud 11. 10am-8pm.
