If you haven’t made plans for the morning of Saturday, July 26, you might want to consider this walk along the Guincho coast that includes a beach picnic. The meeting point is at 9.00am at the Duna da Cresmina Interpretation Centre.

The route heads towards Praia do Abano, offering stunning views of the Sintra Mountains and its cliffs, with a break on Guincho’s sands for a summer picnic. Prepared by guide and chef Dinis Correia, the menu features a wrap (available with chicken or vegetarian), a Bola de Berlim (because it’s summer and we’re at the beach, after all), a fruit skewer, and iced tea.

Organised by Hike Land, participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for the weather conditions (the forecast is very hot). You should also bring water and a mug to enjoy your tea during the picnic. The final part of the walk takes place along wooden boardwalks through the Cresmina dune system, showcasing the region’s natural beauty.

Online registration costs €20, and participants must be at least 10 years old. The walk covers around seven kilometres, finishing around 12:30 pm.
