Even when it gets packed with the typical Division Street crowd, this Irish pub has an old soul. Antique beer paraphernalia and model ships hang from the ceiling, framed paintings of Chicagoans past dot the walls, and beers are served in frosted glass mugs.

Love coming here and seeing the lights during Christmas time. Be prepared to wait a good bit but once you're in it is well worth it. Love the location and the prices are pretty decent for Gold Coast area. Always a fun place to visit :)

I rolled into Butch McGuire's hungover on Sunday and it turned out being everything I needed and more. When you walk in, you immediately notice the decorations. They're awesome! Lights completely covering the ceiling and quirky decorations all over the walls. Not going to lie, perfect set-up for a little IG photoshoot. I'm not sure how the rest of the food was, but brunch was delicious! I got a breakfast pizza. Breakfast. Pizza. Need I say more? Our waiter was super friendly too! I'll definitely have to try it again on a Friday night.

I went to Butch McGuire's during the Christmas season this year and boy was it insane. I mean, if you can handle crowds, then this place is definitely a gem for Christmas. The ceiling looks absolutely insane and you can't take your eyes off of the glorious decorations. You go for the atmosphere--the food and drinks aren't anything worth raving about. We did do dinner there and I really liked the chorizo-topped nachos and the tortilla soup (so spicy), but it was more about the decor and music than anything else.
