The Owl

Weeknights are low-key at this retro dive from the Estelle’s folks, but the rooms fill up by midnight on weekends and stay packed until the 4am closing time (5am on Saturdays). Catch burlesque shows, pack into the photobooth with your friends and enjoy the (relatively) cheap drinks at this Logan Square hotspot. 

The vibe: A lively late-night bar with dancing and live DJs that gets packed as the night turns into morning.

The food: The Owl does not serve food, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, like the neighboring BiXi Beer and Taco Maya, which is open until 4am every day.

The drinks: Beer is the main draw here, so expect a vast selection of brews on tap, canned and bottled, plus house cocktails like Spa Water (coconut rum and pineapple rum, simple syrup and lime) and Jaywalker (gin, Crème de Mûre, raspberry syrup, lemon and bubbles).

Time Out tip: Not drinking? No problem. The Owl serves a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, including THC seltzers and CBD sodas, so you can get in on the fun without the hangover.
