Lunch in the Loop is about to get a bit more enticing. Hospitality group 16” On Center—the folks behind popular destinations such as Dusek’s, Longman & Eagle, The Promontory, Moneygun and Saint Lou’s Assembly—have revealed plans for the Revival Food Hall. The 24,000 square foot dining area will take up residence on the ground of a newly renovated building at 125 South Clark Street.

Much like the French Market, the Revival will host 15 different food stalls that offer up fast casual dishes from Chicago restaurants, including a few new concepts from local chefs and a pop-up stall with a tenant that will rotate every few months. With 16” On Center curating the lineup of restaurants, it seems like a safe bet that food from some of its own concepts may be available at some point. We doubt that you'll be enjoying Longman & Eagle's bone marrow at the new space, but perhaps you'll be able to order the restaurant's burger.

Food won't be the only thing being served up at the Revival—there will also be a coffee shop and full bar on the premises, offering a full beer and cocktail menu. Local publisher Curbside Splendor will curate a small book and record store, selling items from regional publishers and independent labels.

The Revival Food Hall is scheduled to open sometime this summer and will allow the public to dine in a historic building designed by Daniel Burnham in 1907. The remaining floors of the 20-story property will host loft-style office space and a 10,000 square foot event space. Renderings depict an outdoor space in the building's light well, so you may be able to enjoy your meal (and drinks) outdoors if you manage to grab a seat.

We can expect more announcements about the initial dining offerings in the coming months, but in the meantime, you can check out some renderings of the space and daydream about all of the delicious meals you'll be able to enjoy once the Revival finally opens.
