For late-night food seekers, choices are everything and calories don't count. Midnight Mac and Cheeserie debuts in Rogers Park on Friday with a similar philosophy. The new restaurant, which is open until 2am Monday through Saturday, will offer mac and cheese by the pound for delivery and take-out orders only.

Here's where things get good: Midnight Mac allows diners to design fully customized orders using 36 toppings, with options like goat cheese, caramelized onion, grilled steak, buffalo chicken, lobster and toasted bread crumbs. Orders start at $6.75 for a pound and $8.25 for two pounds. Get your cheese fix at Midnight Mac and Cheeserie starting at 4pm on Friday.

If you want to take your devotion to mac and cheese to the next level, join us at Time Out Chicago's Mac & Cheese Smackdown this Sunday at Bridgeport Art Center, where you'll be able to sample ooey-gooey goodies from Coco's Famous Fried Lobster, Old Town Social, Luella's Southern Kitchen and more. Wash it all down with two complimentary beers from Forbidden Root and Revolution Brewing. See you there!
