When Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment were announced as the supporting act for the Roots' performance at Taste of Chicago, many hoped that Chance the Rapper might make an appearance with the group, which frequently serves as the backing band for the Chicago emcee. Earlier today, Chance confirmed that he'll be taking the stage in Grant Park tomorrow, which means that you'll need to arrive early if you want to get a spot on the lawn (tickets for seats at the Petrillo Music Shell are already sold out).

The appearance at Taste of Chicago will mark Chance the Rapper's second surprise appearance in the city this week, following an unannounced appearance at Mamby on the Beach on Saturday, when he took the stage during Norwegian producer Lido's set. Chance recently announced his Magnificent Coloring World Tour, but the details for the Chicago date—which will fall between September 22 and 25—have yet to be announced.
