Whether you're a fan of cheddar or funky blue cheese, you'll be pleased with the array of cheeses available at the upcoming Cheesetopia festival. The artisan cheese event will take up residence in the Bridgeport Art Center on April 10, featuring more than 40 Midwest cheese producers who will be sampling and selling everyone's favorite dairy product. Attendees will be able to meet the individuals behind their favorite cheeses while learning about (and tasting) new varieties.

The first edition of Cheesetopia launched last year in Milwaukee and is organized by Wisconsin cheese manufacturer Roth Cheese and dairy aficionado Jeanne Carpenter. Given its origins, it should come as no surprise that the festival will feature Wisconsin-based vendors such as Carr Valley Cheese, Red Barn Family Farms and Sartori Company. A few Illinois-based vendors will also be in attendance, including Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery from Champaign and Ludwig Farmstead Creamery from Fithian.

Tickets for Cheesetopia are $75 and include access to an open bar that features complimentary beer, wine and soda. If you've ever dreamed of eating your way through a room filled with wheels of cheese, this is your chance.
