Everyone loves free museum days. And who can turn down free admission to the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium? On August 29, all Chicago Public School students (and one accompanying adult each) are invited to hang out, learn something new and have some fun exploring some of Chicago's top attractions before they have to, you know, go back to school and learn even more after Labor Day.

Kids can get in free to the Adler and the Field Museum on Monday, August 29, while the aquarium is free both August 29 and 30. But even if you’re not a kid in public school, you can get into the Shedd for free next Monday and Tuesday with proof of Illinois residency.

The free public school dates are part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s “One Summer Chicago” initiative.
