Definition Theatre has its cast for ‘An Octoroon’

Definition Theatre Company has completed casting for its summer production of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s An Octoroon, a Chicago premiere to be staged at Victory Gardens.

Appearing in the Obie Award–winning piece will be Definition company members Carley Cornelius, Kelson McAuliffe, Tyrone Phillips and Chris Sheard, along with Breon Arzell, Sydney Charles, Danielle Davis, Tiffany Oglesby, Maya Prentiss and Ariel Richardson.

Chuck Smith directs the production, running July 21 to August 20 in the Richard Christiansen Theater upstairs at Victory Gardens. Additional production staff announced today include scenic designer Andrew Boyce, costume designer Kristy Hall, lighting designer Jared Gooding, sound designer Aaron Stephenson, props designer Jenna Meyers and dramaturg Jared Bellot.
