Glow on—this blacklight waterslide is coming to Toyota Park

Things are going to get weird in Toyota Park this summer. And by things, we mean people zipping down a 500-foot waterslide again and again on August 27 in Bridgeview. That’s right—you can spend a late summer Saturday slipping and sliding down the Blacklight Slide in this event that we can only imagine will look a little like the Color Run meets beach party meets nightclub, especially as neon, glowing water streams down the slide to the sounds of a DJ's beats.

The event asks that you wear a white shirt or swimsuit and arrive prepared to fly down the slide covered in "Blacklight Slide UV neon glowing watercolors." Admission (tickets cost $20 through today, and regular priced tickets will run $50) gets you unlimited trips down the slide, a special edition towel and admission to the after-party, plus a donation will be given to a local charity. Note: Don’t wear your best swimsuit. Things are bound to get messy.
