It might not feel like it, but we're just a few weeks away from drinking beers on the sidewalk and listening to live music in the middle of a neighborhood when street festival season officially arrives. One of the first big pavement-bound celebrations of the season is Do Division Street Fest, which takes over Division Street between Damen Avenue and Leavitt Street from June 2–4, putting bands, booze, food and art in the middle of a road in West Town.

Do Division has announced its initial music lineup, which is booked by local venues the Empty Bottle and Subterranean. Highlights include recently-reunited garage rockers the Ponys, retro punk act Shannon and the Clams, Detroit dance punks ADULT and local instrumental metal trio RLYR. Brazilian psych band Boogarins, post-punk outfit Black Marble and Milwaukee rapper WebsterX round out the bill (which will expand as Do Division draws closer).

In addition to music, Do Division will once again feature a family fun festival with kid-friendly activities (from noon–6pm on Saturday and Sunday), a fashion fest featuring items from West Town stores and a sidewalk sale organized to showcase the offerings of various local businesses.

Check out the first round of Do Division's music lineup below and start counting down the days to summer—it's almost here!
