Joshua Henry will play Aaron Burr in Hamilton’s Chicago company, producers announced this morning. Burr, Alexander Hamilton’s nemesis and the show’s narrator of sorts, is the role for which Leslie Odom Jr. won the Tony Award for leading actor in a musical in June. Henry, a two-time Tony nominee himself for Violet and The Scottsboro Boys, recently appeared in the original cast of Shuffle Along on Broadway.

The complete ensemble for the Chicago cast was also announced this morning, including Jonathan Kirkland as George Washington. The ensemble includes Sam Aberman, Jose Amore, Amber Ardolino, Remmie Bourgeois, Chloë Campbell, Joseph Chaikin, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, John Michael Fiumara, Jean Godsend Floradin, Aaron Gordon, Jin Ha, Holly James, Malik Kitchen, Colby Lewis, Dashi Mitchell, Justice Moore, Samantha Pollino, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Gabriella Sorrentino and Aubin Wise.

They join the previously announced leads including Karen Olivo and Miguel Cervantes. The Chicago cast begins rehearsals this morning in New York. Performances begin at the PrivateBank Theatre September 27.
