You've seen Mark Wahlberg in movies like Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Happening and Ted, but soon you'll be able to eat his favorite cheeseburger without leaving the city. According to Crain's, Boston-based burger chain Wahlburgers will open its first Chicago restaurant somewhere in River North next year.

Founded by Mark Wahlberg and his brothers Donnie and Paul, Wahlburgers currently boats 13 locations in the U.S. and Canada and is the subject of an eponymous reality TV series that airs on A&E. The chain specializes in third-pound burgers topped with "government cheese" and "Wahl sauce," but also offers sloppy joes, chicken sandwiches and salads.

Crain's reports that Wahlburgers' 4,500-square-foot restaurant in Chicago will offer a menu that is similar to the chain's other locations, but will also include a Chicago-specific burger.

Burger chains like Shake Shack, Good Stuff Eatery and Umami Burger have flocked to Chicago in recent years, so Wahlburgers will find itself in a city with plenty of competitors when it opens its doors. Can a restaurant endorsed by the the star of The Italian Job join the ranks of Chicago's best burgers? We'll have to wait and see...
