The first day of music festival fun is getting off to a late start today due to weather, according to a Tweet from Lollapalooza just after 11 this morning. Thousands were lined up at the main gate still waiting at 11:20am, and festival staff asked attendees to turn on push notifications on the Lolla app for updates. Doors were initially due to open at 11, with music scheduled to begin at noon.

A chance of thunderstorms continues today and Friday, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a return of the mud people. Let's just hope there's not a massive evacuation this year.
