Take a look inside the Kanye West pop-up shop in Northbrook

When Kanye West announced that we would be opening a pop-up shop in Chicago, we figured that the temporary store would be located somewhere within city limits. But Kanye has clearly forgotten about the geography of his hometown, because the store is actually taking up residence in Northbrook Court, a shopping mall located in the North Shore village of Northbrook. At least he managed to set up shop in Cook County.

Before the shop opened this morning at 10am, a line formed outside of the small store—some people even camped out in the parking lot overnight to enter the mall when it opened its doors.

So, why the fuss? The shop is selling a line of limited edition clothing that takes inspiration from Kanye's recent album, The Life of Pablo. None of it is cheap—T-shirts are $55, sweatshirts are $95, hoodies are $105 and jackets range from $250–$350. The most affordable item on sale is a Chicago-themed hat (which should really read Northbrook) that is being offered for $45.

Those who decided to brave the lines have been reporting two hour waits to enter the store, which will be open through the weekend (until 9pm tonight, 10am to 9pm on Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sunday). Take a look inside the shop and check out just how many people decided to wait in line today.
