After a long day of trudging through hordes of cosplayers and super-fans at C2E2, you may be tempted to carry your giant bag of comics, toys and merch home and curl up on your couch to watch Daredevil. As much fun as it is to watch Matt Murdock clean up the streets of Hell's Kitchen, you'll be missing out on an array of geeky post-convention events. We've put together a list of C2E2 after-parties where you can do the Batdance long after the convention floor has closed.
Arcade Brewery Battlepug Release Party
Arcade Brewery celebrates the release of its new hoppy brown ale (named after Mike Norton's Battlepug comic) at this post-C2E2 bash at Geek Bar. 8pm, April 24.
All Geeks: Gay of Thrones Party
The nerd-inclusive All Geeks collective puts on this LGBT-friendly party at Berlin, hosted by Gay of Thrones star Jonathan Van Ness. Guests can enter a cosplay contest and or participate in a raffle to win an array of prizes, including C2E2 passes and a Chicago Comics gift certificate. 10pm, April 24.
Sonicboombox C2E2 After Party
Revolution Brewery and Geek Bar team up for an evening of nerdy fun at the Threadless HQ, including video games, cosplay, dancing and a hosted bar. The first 100 guests receive a free box of goodies from Loot Crate. 7:30pm, April 25.
Super Hero/Villain Charity Crawl
Go on a South Loop bar crawl in costume to support Reading with Pictures, a non-profit that encourages literacy through the use of comic books. The event starts at Reggies and features drinks specials and giveaways at every stop. 6pm, April 25.
C2E2 Nerd Prom
Leave your costume on and close out C2E2 weekend at the Empty Bottle. Comedic rock band Satan's Boner performs and Oozing Wound's Zack Weil spins tunes at this '80s-themed blowout. 9pm, April 26.
