1. Get your cosplay on

Chicago’s biggest comic book convention, C2E2, takes over McCormick Place this weekend. Don your finest geek apparel for some face time with Stan Lee, Millie Bobby Brown and more. (McCormick Place, 2301 S Lake Shore Dr, Fri and Sat 10am–7pm, Sun 10am–5pm. $30–$50 per day, weekend pass $80)

2. Go to a mini-CIMMfest

CIMMfest proper may have been re-delegated to the fall, but their weekend-long Spring Fling Thing should hold you over for the spring. Take in documentaries, Icelandic food, live local music and family-friendly dance parties at Chop Shop Friday through Sunday. (Chop Shop, 2033 W North Ave, Fri 7–11pm, Sat 11am–3pm, Sun 3–9pm. $5–$10 per event, weekend pass $30)

3. Get your Hamilton fix

No, we don’t know how to get you Hamilton tickets for this weekend (we’re not magicians). But the hilarious parody Spamilton will satisfy your cravings to be in the room where it happens. (Royal George Theatre, 1641 N Halsted St, Fri 7:30pm, Sat 2pm and 8pm, Sun 2pm and 5pm. $59–$99)

4. Put your chocoholism to the test

Sure, everybody likes chocolate—but enough for a weekend-long chocolate fest? Prove your commitment to cocoa beans at the Chicago Artisan Chocolate Festival, complete with demonstrations, panels and samples from over 40 chocolate artisans. (Plumbers Hall, 1340 W Washington Blvd, Sat 11am–6pm, Sun 11am–5pm. $38–$66)

5. Eat your weight in wings

Just because it’s not Super Bowl Sunday doesn’t mean it’s not a good day for chicken wings. Join us for WingFest presented by Time Out Chicago, with Chicago’s best wing vendors under one roof. (Deuce’s & the Diamond Club, 3505 N Clark St, Sun 11am and 2pm. $20–$25)

6. Go to vintage heaven

Vintage Garage is back! Spend your Sunday afternoon in Uptown digging through vinyl, resale dresses and mid-century furniture at this beloved vintage market. You just might find your new signature look. (Vintage Garage Chicago Flea Market, 5051 N Broadway, Sun 10am–5pm. $5)

7. Shower in Purple Rain

Best known as Prince’s backup band, the Revolution bring their eclectic funk rock to Chicago for two nights. Celebrate the late Prince by jamming out to his collaborators’ best work. (Metro Chicago, 3730 N Clark St, Sun 8pm. $57)
