1. Laugh your hoo-ha off
Let's face it. It's early in the week, and you need a good belly laugh. And probably a beer. This weekly showcase from some of the city's funniest women—they've been on Comedy Central and HBO for crying out loud—never fails to please. Doors open at 7:30pm. (Rockit Burger Bar, 3700 N Clark St, 8:30pm. $5)

2. Dance with The Faint
Yes, The Faint is still a band. You should be so lucky. Get tickets fast and dance with angst like it’s the good old days to music from Omaha’s sweethearts. Lasers and Fast and Shit will open. (Bottom Lounge, 1375 W Lake St, 8pm. $25)

3. Feel a little fancy
Channel your inner fashionista and marvel at the evolution of Chicago style and the growth of the Magnificent Mile from the 1950s to ’90s as part of “Chicago Styled: Fashioning the Magnificent Mile.” Exhibits cover everything from Norman Norell and Adolfo to Versace and Chanel. Isn't it fun to play dress up? (Chicago History Museum, 1601 N Clark St, 930am-430pm. Included with museum admission, $14)
