The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Check out museum-quality selfies

See a collection from an artist who once sold her work on the steps of the Art Institute. The photos Lee Godie took in Chicago bus station photo booths and then embellished with paint and crayons are now on display for everyone to see. (Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, 756 N Milwaukee Ave, 11am–7:30pm. $5 suggested donation)

2. Witness an amazing guitarist

Steve Gunn, a former guitarist in Kurt Vile’s band, comes to town with his bluesy blend of Americana. It’s almost guaranteed these nomadic jams will put you in a good mood. (Schubas, 3159 N Southport Ave, 9pm. $15)

3. See an inspiring play

Superheroes come to the stage in Ike Holter’s latest play. Prowess is a little more real world than comic book, but these Chicago vigilantes will leave you feeling inspired. (Broadway Armory Park, 5917 N Broadway 7:30pm. $30)
