1. Do you want to kill a snowman?

Two very different films play tonight at Movies in the Parks. Scout out a spot and relive the enduring classic To Kill a Mockingbird while trying to block out recent revelations on the not so upstanding Atticus Finch. Or get ready to sing along with instant classic Frozen while enjoying the anything-but weather. Check out the full schedule(Frozen: Chippewa Park, 6748 N Sacramento Ave, 8pm. Free. To Kill A Mockingbird: Jackson Park, 6401 S Stony Island Ave, 8pm. Free)

2. Feast your eyes on this

Explore the mind of a chef at “Charlie Trotter: Chef, Artist, Thinker,” which celebrates the late and brilliant chef who passed away in 2013. The intimate collection displays large, colorful photos of his dishes, works of art in their own right, along with personal items from Trotter’s life, including his James Beard Award, books that inspired him and his own notebooks. (City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower, 806 N Michigan Ave, 10am-6:30pm. Free)

3. Get into the history of house

Before there was EDM, there was house music. “Move Your Body: The Evolution of House Music” digs into the history and development of house music beginning in Chicago’s post “Disco Demolition” '80s through to its breakout into pop music and the global scene. The exhibit features firsthand accounts, memorabilia and timelines. Get to know the history of a homegrown music movement. (Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E Washington St, 9am-7pm. Free)
