1. Show off your Halloween costume

In case you haven’t heard, it’s Halloween! And where better to celebrate than at the Northalsted Halloween Parade in Boystown? Don’t you dare half-ass your costume for tonight’s parade. (Belmont Ave and Halsted St, 5pm. Free)

2. Have some kid-friendly Halloween fun

Bring the whole family to Southport Corridor for Trick or Treat on Southport, Lakeview’s Halloween block party. Enjoy art, games, music, a pumpkin patch and beer from Corridor Brewery. (Southport Ave between Belmont Ave and Irving Park Rd, 4pm. Free)

3. Witness The Genius at work

Okay, so maybe costumes aren’t your thing but you still want to get out and about tonight. Wu-Tang Clan’s GZA (a.k.a. The Genius) is gracing Chicago with his presence tonight, so catch him while he’s here. (City Winery, 1200 W Randolph St, 8pm. $35–$45)
