Ever since Goose Island was reinstated as Pitchfork Music Festival's official beer sponsor, the Chicago-based brewery has teamed up with a band playing the fest to formulate a collaborative beer. In past years, Run the Jewels, Chance the Rapper and Sharon Van Etten have been immortalized with a special mixture of water, yeast, malts and hops. This year, Chicago's own Twin Peaks answered the call, working directly with Goose Island Brewmaster Jared Jankoski.

The result of the collaboration is Natural Villain, a "garage lager" modeled after beers like Modelo, Pacifico and Sol, which are some of Twin Peaks' preferred beverages. It tastes fairly similar to Goose Island's existing Four Star Pils, blending crisp malts with just a hint of bitter hops. Like all of the past Pitchfork Music Festival beers, Natural Villain has a relatively low ABV (only 4.7%) so it's perfect for extended day drinking while listening to your favorite bands.

Natural Villain is already on tap at several bars (Emporium, Parson's Chicken & Fish, Cole's, The Owl and Montrose Saloon, among others) and will also be served at Pitchfork Music Festival all weekend long. Grab one and toast Twin Peaks during the band's set on Friday at 5:30pm.
