Many of us are still mourning the passing of Prince by listening to the wonderful music he left behind and remembering the many concerts he played in Chicago.

On Friday, a group of Prince fans will stage a parade in honor of the pop star. A Night of a Thousand Princes - Purple Walk will kick off at sunset (around 8pm) at the Wicker Park fountain and will wind its way through the streets of Wicker Park, blaring some of the Purple One's greatest hits. Attendees are encouraged to "put on some eyeliner and your best 'Prince inspired' outfit," according to a Facebook event created to promote the walk.

The parade will conclude at the intersection of Damen, North and Milwaukee avenues with a dance party set to the strains of Prince's classic song, "Let's Go Crazy." All are welcome to participate in the walk, even if you can't quite pull off any of the singer's notoriously slick dance moves.
