Gyms with childcare
Tighten your abs, glutes and thighs while your kids are well taken care of. Dailey Method offers two kids' rooms, one for infants and one for toddlers and up, for $6 a session (packages also available). The infant room is a small group to make sure babies are well attended to, while the older ones have plenty of toys to keep them occupied. Book childcare the same way you sign up for a class.
Although you must book childcare 24 hours in advance, you know your kids will be in good hands at a place that is focused on healthy moms. The spot offers tons of kids classes, too, so bring the little ones for Kindermusik before you get your workout in. For $8 an hour, your kids will be well taken care of by sitters from the nanny placement agency k grace.
Parents can focus on their workouts knowing their infants and toddlers are in good hands at the children's activity center. Teacher-to-child ratios are low, and parents with small children are given a pager so they can be reached quickly if need be. The center is stocked with snacks, and kids can participate in crafts and other learning activities for $7 an hour.
For $29.95 a month (or $7 a visit) your kids can hang out in the kids' club, a preschool-esque room filled with toys, art supplies, books and more. Special activities like martial arts, pool parties and parent date nights are offered as well. Childcare also available at Equinox's Oak Park, South Loop, West Loop, Halsted Street and Lincoln Park locations.
This workout may be intense, but you won't have to worry about your kids being entertained. The kids' room is complete with a Wii entertainment system and tons of toys, enough that they won't notice you are gone for your hour workout. Childcare costs $6 a class (packages available) and can be booked when you sign up for your class.
