Already the trailer has set ovaries aflame: Channing Tatum's fans will be swarming the multiplex to watch him pop and lock his stripper dance moves. Others will wonder whether the sequel can survive the departure of inspired director Steven Soderbergh.

He did say he'd be back: Arnold Schwarzenegger signs up for another installment of his signature franchise, which sounds like a reboot of the first movie. Game of Thrones' Khaleesi, Emilia Clarke—sans her dragons—will take on the role of humanity's savior, Sarah Connor.

Terminator: Genisys opens July 1.

The Marvel universe expands yet again, hopefully in the same irreverent vein as last summer's Guardians of the Galaxy. Paul Rudd gets small—but extremely powerful—as the title character seeking redemption from his sneaky con-artist ways.

Ant-Man opens July 17.

Absolutely necessary? The 1982 original is a bona fide classic, wedding the suburban sensibility of producer Steven Spielberg with the sick instincts of director Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre). Still, we like Sam Rockwell as the dad, and the concept is a sturdy one.

Poltergeist opens July 24.

Tom Cruise keeps on completing impossible missions—perhaps a new title is merited? Sequel: Highly Probable. The action franchise is always good for a thrilling sequence or two, and Alec Baldwin joins the cast as head of the CIA. Shades of The Departed, we hope: "Patriot Act!"

Mission: Impossible 5 opens July 31.
