Time Out says

Named for a 1985 muscle car, Black Mountain's fifth album, Destroyer, is a hot-rodded journey through ’70s and ’80s hard rock, prog and psychedelia. Inpsired by the sense of freedom he experience after obtaining his first driver's license as an adult, frontman Stephen McBean oversees a high-speed road trip soundtrack stuffed with gargantuan riffs and burbling synths. Returning to Lincoln Hall, Black Mountain is joined by Los Angeles psych-rockers Dommengang and dark synthesizer act Majeure.
