He shares a surname with some of Chicago’s most infamous mayors, but Gareth Daley is a British R&B crooner who started, as most artists do, creating music in his bedroom. Early in his career, he caught the ear of Britpop Renaissance man Damon Albarn, who enlisted Daley to sing on the Gorillaz track “Doncamatic.” Daley's 2014 debut, Days & Nights, contrasts classic influences and modern production, sounding like Al Green serenading a drum machine.
