Maceo Parker + Marrow

Pioneering jazz-funk saxophonist Parker has blown with James Brown, De La Soul and Prince. His 2012 release, dubbed Soul Classics, puts a new, woodwind-centric spin on classic tracks by Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and more—the kind of songs that are sure to get people dancing. Local indie-rock outfit Marrow, which features members of acts such as Tweedy and Homme, will open the show. This free concert is part of the 2016 Millennium Park Summer Music Series.
