Recording under the alias of Porches, Aaron Maine has managed to create the musical representation of the shy, awkward teenager in every John Hughes movie. The band's latest, Pool, mixes ‘80s-style synth pop with introspective lyricism, aided by backing vocals from Maine's girlfriend Greta Kline (of Frankie Cosmos).
