Taj Mahal Trio

Taj Mahal's not what you'd call a blues original—how could he be, having come up during the '60s blues revival? But he was among the first to make sure folks noticed that rock, R&B, and soul were derived from a shared cultural tradition, drawing upon African, Caribbean and Latin American traditions. He'll be playing some Dobro with his trio during a pair of CIMMfest 2016 performances.
