Following an early sellout of tickets for visits through the summer, the Obama Foundation is releasing more passes.

If you missed out on the initial wave of tickets to Chicago’s newly-opened Obama Presidential Center Museum, you're in luck. Following the star-studded grand opening celebration, a massive wave of high demand saw tickets to the museum sell out well into the fall. Fortunately, the Obama Foundation just announced that a new block of tickets will be released this week.
The next round of tickets is scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 8, covering visitor dates between September 2026 and January 2027. For the center’s most dedicated supporters, an exclusive pre-sale for "Founding Members" kicked off on July 1.
Located on a vibrant 19.3-acre campus in historic Jackson Park, the four-story museum officially opened its doors on June 19, 2026, to celebrate the life, legacy and leadership of the 44th president.
“The overwhelming interest we’ve seen since opening our doors is a powerful reminder of how much people are looking for spaces that bring us closer together,” said Valerie Jarrett, CEO of The Obama Foundation. “We’re thrilled to make more tickets available.”
The public is welcome to explore the majority of the vast Obama Presidential Center campus completely free. You can wander the grounds and enjoy 23 of the campus's 28 original works of public art, but to check out the indoor exhibitions at the museum, you'll need a coveted ticket.
Tickets to the museum are $30 for adults, $23 for children 3 to 11 and free for children 2 and under. Tickets for Illinois residents are $26, $15 for children 3 to 11.
Whether you want to deeply engage with presidential history inside the museum or simply enjoy the public spaces, the center aims to be a gathering place for the next generation of changemakers. To secure your spot for the fall and winter seasons, head over to the official Obama Presidential Center website on July 8.
