It's a good weekend to stay in. A winter weather advisory goes into effect at 11am today (Thursday, February 4) and lasts through noon on Friday. Meteorologists predict that we'll start seeing more snow around noon today, though it won't be as much as we got over the weekend. You can take a look at the National Weather Service's approximate timeline below, which sees the heaviest snowfall rates from 2 to 6pm this afternoon.

But that's not all: Overnight, Chicago is expected to get hit with powerful wind gusts that could reach 40–45 miles per hour. With the winds comes arctic, sub-zero temperatures that could hang around through next week. The National Weather Service predicts that we might also see three more snow on Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. Take a look at your frigid weekend forecast and bundle up, Chicago!
