What would Chicago's The Office-themed pop-up bar be without an official Dundie Awards ceremony? And what would the Dundies be without Chili's? Replay Lincoln Park is teaming up with the infamous Tex-Mex chain to host an awards ceremony on Friday, August 17 at 7pm, days before the pop-up wraps its run on Monday, August 20.
According to organizers, guests will experience their own Dundies ceremony while sipping Pam's "Second Drink" margaritas from Chili's booths and tables. The restaurant, which closed its last Chicago location in 2016 (the Chili's Too restaurant at O'Hare don't count), will be on hand to provide the booze and pass out "goodies" to guests, according to a press release. We're really hoping that "goodies" is code for Southwestern egg rolls and skillet queso.
Can't make it to the Dundies? Replay is hosting plenty of The Office trivia nights this week and next (check the bar's Facebook page for more details), Dunder Mifflin Office Olympics on August 12, and themed karaoke on August 15. There are plenty of opportunities to get your Michael Scott one-liners in before the pop-up experience packs up later this month.
