Reformation, the Los Angeles-born powerhouse of sustainable fashion, will officially open two new retail locations in Chicago next week. These openings mark the brand’s third and fourth stores in the city, bringing the total number of Midwest locations to seven—a clear signal that the region is a major growth engine for the eco-conscious label.
The new stores, opening May 19, will be located in Fulton Market and the Southport Corridor. While both stores share the brand’s "cool girl" aesthetic, their assortments are tailored to the unique energy of their respective North Side and West Loop homes.
The Fulton Market location (833 West Randolph Street) is inspired by the industrial-chic energy of the West Loop, designed for the modern professional. Expect a curated selection of "desk-to-dinner" staples, high-quality basics and effortless pieces perfect for Chicago’s vibrant nightlife.
The Southport Corridor location (3452 Southport Avenue) has more of a sophisticated, multi-generational appeal. It'ss the ultimate destination for occasion dressing and mother-daughter shopping days, offering refined, classic styles that endure well beyond a single season.
Both locations will feature Reformation’s proprietary Retail X concept. This tech-enabled experience eliminates the clutter of traditional retail by placing only one of each item on the floor. Shoppers use touchscreens or QR codes to send items directly to a dressing room. Once inside, additional touchscreens allow customers to request new sizes or styles without ever having to leave their stall.
True to the brand’s 2009 roots, these stores are built with the planet in mind. From FSC-certified wood hangers and vintage furnishings to offsetting 100% of electricity with renewable energy, the infrastructure meets rigorous Green Business Certification standards.
Beyond the architecture, the brand encourages a circular lifecycle for its garments. Through the RefRecycling program, customers can drop off well-loved Reformation pieces at either location to receive credit toward future purchases—a clear indication that style and profitability can coexist with a positive environmental footprint.
With both stores operating Monday–Saturday (11–7pm) and Sunday (11–6pm), Chicagoans will now have more opportunities than ever to shop the brand that has turned sustainable fashion into a global movement.
